Avis d’intention

Notice of intent by a third party intending to disseminate partisan pre-election advertising

Before you start

A third party must file a notice of intent if they intend to disseminate partisan advertising valued at more than $1,000 during a pre-election period prior to a general election. The pre-election period lasts from January 1 of an election year until the writ is instituted, marking the start of the election period. This form is available three months prior to the start of the pre-election period and can be completed at any time between then and the day the order is instituted.

Your name or that of your group will be published on our website (in French).

During an election period, if a natural person or an unincorporated group wants to intervene in the political debate by incurring expenses, they must obtain private intervenor status.
