Briefs and documents filed as part of the delimitation of Québec’s electoral map may be filed in a personal capacity or on behalf of an institution (association, business, organization, research centre, union, etc.). With your consent, the author’s name, the organization’s name (where applicable) as well as the date on which you attend a hearing (where applicable) will be posted on our website. Be sure to read all the details. The documents filed must not contain personal, confidential, or copyrighted information.
The personal identifying information (surname, given name, professional title, if any or institution name) you provide on this form is required to file your brief or document. Once your proposal is posted on our website following your consent, this identifying information will be associated with your brief or document and will be made public. Your brief or document will be available on our website until a new delimitation of electoral divisions is adopted, only if you consent to its publication.
In addition to this personal identifying information, you must provide your email address so that we can contact you should we need clarification about your brief or document. This additional information is confidential under the Act respecting Access to documents held by public bodies and the Protection of personal information (CQLR, chapter A-2.1). Only authorized persons of the Commission de la représentation électorale will be able to access this information with a view to examine documents related to the public consultation.
We will retain this personal information only until a new delimitation of the electoral divisions is adopted, in accordance with the rules set out in its retention schedule. The institution will implement whatever security measures required to ensure the protection of personal information it collects, uses, discloses, retains or destroys.
